There are signs of Spring in the air as we move closer to a pre-pandemic way of Club life, including the return of regular free live music - party band, Big Nite Out are performing this Friday evening!

Easter Camps return in April
Our popular Easter Camps return next month during the school holidays!  Please keep your eyes peeled for news and online booking details which will be shared soon.

Members Communication Evening
The date has been confirmed for Thursday 28th April at 7pm.

The Board would like to reassure all members that we remain focussed on ensuring the Club runs smoothly for the benefit and enjoyment of the members, schools programme and our local community. The members evening will be an ideal opportunity for the Board to provide clarity on the following areas:

  • The progressive continued developments of the West Hants Club following two years in a pandemic.
  • The Club Vision of the future including the Corporate Governance.
  • Updates on the future West Hants Board selection process and opportunity for members to register their interest in Board appointment consideration.

There will be an opportunity for members to ask questions during the evening.

Spring cleaning
Behind the scenes, we are doing some 'Spring housekeeping' and would like to remind members of the following:

  • Outdoor Clay Courts - It was disappointing that Storm Eunice destroyed our clay court bubble but the Ground staff have worked hard to clear the damage and have put four clay courts (3 floodlit) back in play.  The six remaining courts will be prepared and dressed over the next few weeks subject to weather.
  • Indoor Court Bookings - With increased pressure on our indoor courts, it is important that members please support us and adhere to the rules. As a courteous reminder the Club Rules state that no member can book or play for consecutive sessions.
  • Unable to make a Studio Class? Please let us know in advance so a fellow member has the opportunity to enjoy your space. Additionally, you will avoid a no-show penalty of £5 (this goes to our nominated charity, EDAS). If you booked your class online, you can easily cancel it online if you are giving more than 24-hours notice.  With less notice, please ask our Reception Team to cancel your place.

To close...
We have welcomed many new members in recent weeks and we hope you are enjoying Club life. Feedback is always appreciated so please leave this at Reception or email our Membership Team.  Thank you for your continued support of the Club.

Kind Regards
Peter D Elviss
Chief Executive
