Dorset Mind Spinathon Presentation
Instructors Cat and Clare completed another successful spinathon in December raising funds for Dorset Mind who deliver vital mental health services in our local area. Thanks to the incredible support they received, we were able to present a cheque for over £5,046 to Emma from Dorset Mind, supporting vital mental health services in Dorset. A huge thank you to all who took part (especially Julian who joined in for the whole 12 hours!), donated, or helped spread the word – every pedal, cheer, and contribution has made a difference.
Member Spotlight – Margaret Wareing
Many congratulations to Margaret Wareing for receiving a Tennis Lifetime Achievement Award from Dorset LTA. Margaret’s dedication, passion, and commitment to tennis are an inspiration to all. Make sure to congratulate her next time you see her at the Club. There were many other familiar names amongst the winners so congratulations to you all - click here to read more.
A Message from our Chairperson, Paul Leggat - Reappointment of Trustees
"I am pleased to be able to report that, coming to the end of their first term as Trustees, both Kia Babb and James Mathie indicated their willingness to stand for a second term.
Following our statutes, our recruitment and retention sub-committee provided a positive recommendation to the Board, with their second three-year term scheduled to commence on 15 March 2026.
I am absolutely delighted that both Kia and James will continue to invest their time and skills voluntarily to support the long-term development of The West Hants Club." Paul Leggat, Chairperson on behalf of the Board of Trustees
Thank you
As always, thank you for your continued support. We always welcome feedback, so if you have any to share, please complete a form at Reception or click here to email us. Remember, it is our Centenary year, a very special milestone for the Club, so keep your eyes peeled throughout the year for details on how we will continue to celebrate!
