THREE National Inter-Club Championship teams - match reports

Exciting news to share from these triumphant teams - congratulations and well done to you all!

 

Match Report by Phil Tovey

 

Yes, we triumphed in our National Inter-Club Men’s 65 Final vs West Bridgford from Nottinghamshire, played at David Lloyd Dudley on Friday 15th November.

 

Team was Gerard Wherity, Phil Tovey, Boyd Brackstone, Frank Cousins; format 2 x doubles pairs; winning score 3-1.

 

We now have the opportunity to represent GB in a European Club competition to be held at the back end of next year!

Please find below a photo of the super senior mixed finalists/winners on Sunday. It was a tight match against the 45 club with The West Hants Club winning 3-1.

 

A lot of driving but also a lot of good tennis!

Herewith a photo of the team who played in the final. We had a 3-1 victory over Warwick boat club whom we beat in the same event 2 years ago.

 

Congratulations to every member of the team who all played their part in not only the final but in the matches in previous rounds including a good win v Blackburn.
