Club Newsletter - May 2022

Posted on 07th May 2022

Firstly, thank you to all those who attended our Members Evening on Thursday 28th April.  It was very well supported and we will soon be circulating key Q&As to all members.

The days are getting warmer and daylight hours are longer giving tennis and padel player greater opportunities to enjoy our outdoor courts. May we politely remind clay court players to brush the clay off their shoes before entering the Clubhouse.

If you're looking to upgrade your racket for the summer, our friend Dunlop are visiting the Club on Tuesday 10th and Wednesday 11th May with a selection of rackets for you to try out!  Click here to find out more including how to reserve your space.

Continuing the topic of tennis, families may be interested to hear we are trialling a new online booking system for Junior Pay & Play sessions.  Click here to find out how you can reserve your child's Pay & Pay place.  Bookings can still be made in person at Reception on the day.

We welcome rackets players of all levels, and are proud to share that at the very highest level we have a number of familiar Club faces representing GB in their chosen sports.  Our congratulations go to Matt, Andy, Boyd, and Pauline (Tennis), Simon (Padel), and Bev (Squash) on their selections.  We will share updates as we receive them - keep scrolling for reports from Boyd, Andy, and Matt.

Our Fitness Team have also been busy behind the scenes too and we have introduced two fantastic new classes - CrossFit Experience with Adrian every Tuesday and Dance Mix with Jason every Wednesday.

Please continue to check our website, social channels, and club noticeboards for all news & events!

With continued thanks for your support,

Best wishes,

Peter D Elviss
Chief Executive

PS. Best of luck to all those competing in our Club Handicap Tennis Finals today (Saturday 7th May)!  Play is due to start at 12.30pm so join us at the Club and show your support for the players!
