Bugle Tournament Fun

Thanks to all those that participated in this annual festive event - such a great effort from everyone! Thank you Bev for the following report....

16 couples played in the annual Bugle doubles racketball competition. It is a fancy dress affair and there were some super efforts made by the players. The competition entertains all standards and with the players divided in to 3 boxes, each couple played a minimum of 5 matches.

With Mike Ypes and Andy Metcalfe qualifying to the final and playing to retain their title, they were always going to have a tough battle against the younger partnership of Dan Ralley and David Lobo. With Mike and Andy playing some exquisite shots they narrowly beat the ‘boy nuns’ 21-18 whilst Sam Burnand and Nicola Morris were the winners of group C.

Fancy dress winners were Nic Moreton and Alex De Ri.

An afternoon of exceptional costumes, entertaining racketball and a great vibe.
