April Newsletter

Posted on 10th Apr 2025

Spring has finally arrived and with it, a fresh start to the season! We’ve got some exciting updates and important reminders to share with you.

NEW Membership Card Key Rings and Phone Discs available from Monday 14th April

Brand new "membership card" key rings and mobile phone discs (stick to your phone or insert between your phone and phone case) can be purchased from Reception from Monday 14th Reception for just £3.  This is a great solution for those who might occasionally forget their membership card - now you’ll always have a convenient option for accessing the Club!

If you choose to purchase one of our new options, we will deactivate your old membership card but please still keep hold of it for locker use, as the new key rings and phone discs are not compatible with the lockers.

If you're interested in buying one, please stop by Reception when they’re available, it will only take a minute to switch your access details across to the keyring or phone disc.

With the introduction of these low cost key rings and mobile phone discs, please note there will be no entry to the Club without an active membership card/keyring/mobile phone disc so if you have misplaced your card then please stop by Reception on/after Monday 14th April to purchase a replacement.

Saturday Morning 'Pay & Play Tennis' changes after Easter

After the Easter break, our Saturday morning tennis Pay and Play junior sessions will move to short courses. These courses will allow you to enjoy more structured and focused training with our expert instructors, helping you to improve your skills while still maintaining flexibility and fun!  Payment is required at time of booking.  Click here for more information or to book on!

Business Partner News

Globacare - Congratulations to Abhay, winner of a £100 voucher towards Dunlop Rackets and 6 hours of free individual coaching, proudly supported by our business partner Globacare!

Thank you to all that entered the competition which featured in our February newsletter. The question posed was "Which American former grand slam champion did ex-West Hants/Talbot Heath Academy player Jodie Burrage play in the second round of this year’s Australian Open? The answer was Coco Gauff!

Aspin Concierge Services - We warmly welcome Aspin Concierge Services who are sponsoring a brand new Racketball Festival this Autumn.  Several teams from across the South and London will be competing in thrilling matches showcasing top-level skills.  Keep your eyes peeled for news closer to the time!

Reminder - Padel Bat Hire Please remember that padel bats are available for hire for £3 per session plus car keys (or similar) as a deposit. If you’re planning to play padel and don’t have your own equipment we want to make sure you’re all set to enjoy your game, so stop by Reception to grab your bat and enjoy the court!  On the subject of padel, the build of our two new courts is progressing well so please keep your eyes peeled for more updates!

Changing Pre-Booked Activity: Household Rule

A polite reminder that bookings can only be changed for members within your household. This policy ensures fairness, reduces any booking misunderstandings, and gives all members a chance to manage their own household bookings. Please be understanding with our Reception team, as they have been instructed to follow our Club rules.

Thank you

As always, thank you for your continued support.  Please remember, if you have any feedback to share, please complete a form at Reception or click here to email us.

Best wishes,

Peter D Elviss

Chief Executive
