Matt Coombes wins British Open Indoor Veterans Championships

Matt Coombes, Manager and Coach at West Hants' sister club - the Bournemouth Gardens Tennis Centre, has won the Over 40's British Open Indoor Veterans Championships which were held at the David Lloyd in Dudley in January.
Matt's results were:
1st round - Bye
2nd Round bt Doug Bridger (Surrey) 6-0, 6-1
Quater Final bt David Mills (5 Seed) Cambridgeshire 6-4, 3-6, 6-1
Semi Final bt Mark Sands-Smith (Sussex) 7-5, 6-3
Final bt Adam Boucher (6 Seed) Middlesex 6-1, 6-1
This win has stretched Matt's lead at the top of the british rankings and has pushed his World ITF (International Tennis Federation) Over 40 ranking up to number 7.
