Dear Members

I am writing to notify you that we will be upgrading our outdoor tennis courts over the summer and this work will take place over three phases.

Phase 1 – The conversion of a macadam court to an artificial grass court so we have four of the same surface.  The existing macadam court will be repainted at the same time.  The work will start on April 18th and be completed in three weeks (subject to weather).

Phase 2 – The conversion of artificial grass courts 1 and 2 to two outdoor acrylic.  This work will start on May 9th and include a complete rebuild of the court base together with drainage, ringbeam, and new fencing.  The project will last for around 12-14 weeks depending on weather conditions.  The length of the project is due to the curing times for the concrete, the macadam base, and acrylic layers of paint.

Phase 3 – The installation of the two court bubble and floodlighting to the artificial grass court 4.  This work will take place on the September 5th due to planning conditions.

During this period the disruption will be kept to a minimum and I feel any disturbance is outweighed by the fact we will have 8 indoor courts for the seven winter months.

If anyone requires clarification please do not hesitate to contact me.

Kind Regards,

Peter D Elviss
