Squash & Racketball

The West Hants Club has a very strong squash section with teams in the 1st Division. We have 4 good squash courts (1 glass backed) regular tournaments and very active internal leagues. There is always someone to play by coming to Racketball Morning or Squash Club Night. Club Night is a great way to play different people in a fun competitive environment.

Bookings

Court bookings are 45 minutes each and are free of charge with your membership. They can be booked 2 weeks in advance via reception. Monday nights are for internal league matches which guarantees that you can stay on for as long as it takes to finish. Club nights are turn up and play sessions which guarantee you at least 40minutes of play against two different players.

Courses/Leagues

Every Tuesday and Thursday from 10.00 to 11.30 there are racketball sessions which involves routines and games. Saturday Morning are for junior squash pay and play sessions.

We have 11 internal squash leagues consisting of 5-6 players and are changed around every 6-7 weeks. The top 2 will go up and the bottom 2 will go down. Players arrange their own matches. There are 6 racketball leagues which are run in the same way.

Teams

We have 6 men's teams, 1 ladies and 2 racketball teams in the Dorset league. Squash team matches are played on Tuesdays and Thursdays and racketball matches on Wednesdays.

Junior Award System

We have a good junior programme with sessions for all different levels. The award system is designed to give players goals to achieve whilst accelerating their learning of the game. There are 8 different Awards from complete beginners to county standard.
