Biomechanical Assessments
A biomechanical assessment is an examination of posture, strength, flexibility, core stability and movement patterns. An individual exercise and stretch programme is then given to:
- Correct muscle imbalance
- Prevent injury
- Maximise physical performance
Podiatry
A podiatry assessment analyses the posture and movement of the foot to diagnose, treat and prevent pain or injury. The movement and posture of the foot affects the mechanics of the lower leg, knee, hip, pelvis and lower back. Provision of insoles or orthotic devices, and or exercise therapy assists to reduce damaging forces on the body.
